COVID-19 and massage what you need to know

In compliance with The State Medical Board of Ohio Guidance for massage therapists I will re-open for business with a reduced schedule beginning May 18th 2020

You will notice some changes when you book your appointment and when you arrive at my studio.

  • You may request an appointment online, however the appointment will not be confirmed until you receive a confirmation that your appointment day and time have been accepted.  This allows me to manage the schedule to limit the number of clients per day as well as guarantee sufficient time between clients to completely clean and sanitize.

  • If you arrive early for your appointment please text me and check that I am ready for you before entering the building so we can minimize the amount of time clients spend in the common lobby area. If possible use the restroom before arriving at my office.

  • I will be wearing a mask at all times and will also wear protective eyewear during the portion of your massage that you are facing up.

  • You will be asked to wear a mask at all times while in the building with the exception of the time you will spend face down on the massage table.

  • Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the building please use it before touching door handles or any other surfaces.

In order to minimize risk I will be following a strict cleaning regimen that meets or exceeds the requirements of the Medical Board.  Procedures will include the following:

  • Every contact surface including door knobs, bathroom fixtures and light switches will be sanitized between each client.

  • In addition to fresh sheets and face rest coverings I will be replacing the fleece table and headrest coverings and sanitizing the table and headrest between each client.

  • All massage oil will be dispensed from single use bottles that will be used for one client only.

  • I have invested in state of the art HEPA / Ionic air filtration in the treatment room and you may notice a slight increase in background noise.

  • A minimum of one hour will be scheduled between clients to allow for the above protocols as well as treating the room with an UltraViolet whole room sterilizing system.

I understand that all of this may seem extreme, but I care deeply about all of my clients and want to do everything in my power to keep everyone safe while still being able to provide the healing/relaxing massage you expect.
